Vizio VO32L LCD HDTV Review
The VO32L is hardly a beauty and in fact looks kind of clunky. With its black body this set would look best plugged into the space of your A/V cabinet where the old 36-inch CRT gathered dust rather than as the centerpiece of your living room. The set measures 31.6 x 21.2 x 4.2 (WHD, in inches) and weighs 26 pounds without the supplied stand, 27.6 with. With the stand attached, the HDTV has a fairly utilitarian look—without the sweeping lines you’ll find on other models. Of course you can get rid of the stand and mount it to a wall, if you’d like with optional mounting hardware.
This is a very basic-looking HDTV with more of a PC monitor vibe than television. In fact, the rear connections are just like those on your monitor as you plug them up into frame rather than at a typical 90-degree angle. You can even use this as a monitor since it has an RGB PC input with a max resolution of 1368×768 via VGA and HDMI. The connection issue is just a minor hassle since typically you’ll only be doing this once at the outset.
Panasonic goes wild, reveals loads of TVs in Japan

Every so often, we see a firm go out of its way to let loose not just one or two new products, but enough fresh kit to totally overwhelm anyone trying to digest it all. Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on perspective) for us all, Panasonic has done just that with a smattering of televisions. Up first is the 17-inch TH-17LX8 LCD TV, which will be available in five different hues and offer up a 1,366 x 768 resolution, HDMI input, VIERA Link and built-in SD slot. Next in line, we’ve got a trio of new LCD TVs in the LX series ranging from 20- to 32-inches in size, all featuring a 1,366 x 768 resolution and an analog / digital tuner to boot. Lastly, we’ve got three new plasmas (37-, 42- and 50-inches) with lackluster resolutions, a 15,000:1 contrast ratio and a bevy of inputs (including an SD slot and Ethernet port). The whole lot is slated to land in mid-February, so be sure and tag the links below if any of these just happened to tickle your fancy.

Panasonic TH-37PX70 Review
The Panasonic Viera TH-37PX70 is a 37-inch plasma HDTV with a resolution of 1024×720 with stretched pixels to fix the widescreen ratio. The set offers a great look with a black gloss finish on the thin frame surround which reduces the overall size of the HDTV. The Panasonic TH-37PX70 offers two HDMI inputs at the back which support the new HDMI 1.3 standard to extra bandwidth and deeper colors, component, 2x scart, VGA PC input and a CI slot which enable you to add subscription channels to the internal tuner. The TH37PX70 can handle 720, 1080i and 1080p resolutions, but the 1080p resolution will have to be scaled down to fix the avaliable pixels.
Westinghouse LTV-37w2 Review
Turn your home theater or living room into a high definition entertainment center. The Westinghouse 37″ LTV-37w2 HD LCD TV has a fully integrated HDTV tuner built in, so you can enjoy over-the-air high-definition reception, without a set-top box or an associated monthly fee. The LTV-37w2 HD offers 1366 x 768 resolution, a 4.4″ thin profile, our innovative SpineDesign¿ that allows easy side access to connectors, and four HD inputs to connect your DVD player, game console, media PC and cable or satellite.
Standard-definition clips helped this TV achieve better results, with a few jurors giving it good or above average marks in certain areas. Pixelation on the turf of a baseball game scene looked pronounced, but the TV once again showed natural-looking skin tones. In DVD viewings, the LTV-37w2 provided enjoyable detail–for instance, on the race track’s dirt in Seabiscuit. One juror noted that some scenes were a “bit orange” but still “vivid.” All in all, it’s a competent TV that generally has good color quality, contrast, and brightness.
Philips 37PF7320A HDTV Review
Save space and enjoy a wonderfully vivid picture with the stylish, 37-inch Philips 37PF7320A widescreen LCD TV, a great choice for living rooms. It has a built-in 181-channel NTSC tuner for standard television broadcasts, and you can receive high-definition TV right out of the box with the optional, removable CableCARD, which picks up HD (ATSC) broadcasts from your digital cable provider (digital cable subscription required). This set includes a tabletop stand, but it’s also wall-mountable with optional kit (VESA compatible).
This set uses Philips’ exclusive Pixel Plus video processor to increase the number of lines and the number of pixels. The result is razor sharp pictures with incredible detail and dept, every time from any source.
The 37PF7320A has a 1366 x 768-pixel resolution, 176-degree viewing angle, very fast 8 ms (millisecond) response time (great for sports), a 550 cd/m2 (candela per square meter) brightness rating, and an 800:1 contrast ratio. (The higher the contrast ratio, the greater a TV’s ability to display subtle color details and not get washed out by ambient room light.) Other features include an anti-reflection coated screen, picture-in-picture display (via component and HDMI connections), auto volume leveler, adjustable color temperature and sharpness, sleep timer, and V-Chip parental controls.
HP LC3760N High Definition LCD TV Reviews
The HP LC3760N is a 37-inch, liquid crystal display television. Compared to other liquid crystal display TVs on the market, it is relatively inexpensive at around $1,245. This unit has an LCD display, which is generally the best kind of flat-panel screen for viewing in brightly-lit rooms.
With built-in HDTV compatibility, this TV set can display images that are significantly sharper and more realistic than regular television, as long as the source is high definition. (It can easily render standard-resolution digital TV broadcasts and also depict the full resolution of widescreen DVD video.) The 3:2 pulldown feature of this TV reduces artifacts that can occur when motion pictures are transferred to a digital format such as DVD.
