Huh? Is this the latest gadget from the legendary Steve Jobs?
Why does it look funny? No, this cool looking LCD tv set is not the highly awaited flat screen tv from Apple.
Instead it’s a 10 inch flat screen we found while surfing the net. The resolution is 800×600 and contrast ratio is 450:1. Yes, it looks great but don’t expect those HDMI or PiP in this set.
A great giveaway, the website says “If you gave this Apple to your teacher, you might just get an “A”.
We won’t argue.
p/s Apple is rumoured to be working on a flat screen tv but no one is sure if there’s any truth behind it.
AUDIOVOX VE705 - shh .. it’s your secret tv

Samsung’s 10 inch R7 portable tv
For those of you who are looking for a portable tv, you may want to wait for R7 LCD TV from Samsung.
At 10 inch, the R7 is the largest portable tv so far and is optimized for digital broadcasting. It can also be hooked to an external hard drive for downloading multimedia content, capable of playing mp3 and is equipped with photo viewing capability.
So far that’s the only info we’ve got. There’s no news on the price and when it’d be released to the masses yet.

This is the kind of portable tv that you need during bad wheather.
If you live in hurricane prone areas or one that has seasonal bad weather, this tiny 5 inch LCD color tv will still bring you the news and information you need during those emergency situation (power outage).
It’s powered by a portable 10 AA battery pack that would lasts around 2-3 hours. For normal situation, instead of using the battery pack you can hook it up to your power supply and enjoy cable tv in the kitchen (yes! there’s a connection for cable).
On it’s standard antenna you’ll get 7-8 channels easily. If you want more, use a “rabbit antenna” instead. The sound is good and the picture very clear for a portable tv. Oh! it also has it’s own remote control - if you still need one.
The only drawback is the fact that the documentation that comes with this unit is basically useless.

Casio handheld TV
For those sport nuts or others who just can’t get away from their TV, why not try the Casio EV-570 Handheld Portable?
The 2.5 inch screen ( of course it’s small! if not it won’t be called handheld!) will lasts around 2 hours with 4 AAAA batteries. If you have a power source around, it can also be plugged on.
This lightweight tv has good clarity and reception ( UHF & VHF). Just don’t expect to see the score of your basketball game because it’s so tiny you’ll break your eyeball.
Oh! In case you decided to buy it, just remember to invest in rechargable batteries (and maybe save some money for a pair of eyeglasses) too ..
