The UltraClear full HD 1080p LCD panel has a very fast response time of just 4ms, and combined with Auto Motion Plus 120Hz technology brings ultra sharp, clear and judder free images, even during high motion scenes. Both the LN46A950 and LN55A950 have extremely impressive contrast ratios bringing great colors and black levels due to the use of LED backlighting with local dimming, enabling the set to reduce, shut off or boost brightness of individual areas of the screen.

Using test Blu-ray discs that feature slow lateral pans, I can clearly see marked improvement with the processed side, even from a normal viewing distance.

Getting around is easy; there’s helpful explanatory text along the bottom, and we dug the context-sensitive menu that would pop up occasionally to provide more options.
