As reported earlier Hitachi showcased its super slim 32 inch HDTV which is a mere 1.9 cms (0.74 inches) thick. Manufacturers are done with the size and resolution wars as now they are preparing for the slim wars. Sony will be first entrant in the market with its XEL-1 OLED displays which are only 3mm thick. Hitachi has not released any information on its super slim LCD’s except that they will be hitting the stores sometime in 2009.
