Slim is again back in the spotlight and the LG 47LB7RF took it to another whole new level with a sleek 103mm bezel. This, despite a sizeable 47-inch screen based on the popular S-IPS LCD technology and enhanced with a suite of favorable video processing. While S-IPS has been around for some time, this has been implemented mainly in premium LCD monitors and is a rare commodity among TVs so far. Going back to picture enhancements, there’re an upgraded 2007 XD Engine with 1080p capability and proven Faroudja DCDi jaggie-free HD upscaling.

Packing well over 2 million pixels, this LG features a futureproof 1,920 x 1,080 resolution which gives you lossless picture quality with any HD broadcasts, Blu-ray and HD-DVD content. The ultra-high resolution also works particularly well with next-gen gaming consoles such as the Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3, rendering ultra-smooth text and eye candy. You will probably have little issue with fast-motion reproduction and the notorious color shift (varying saturation), too, thanks to its fast 8ms response time and wide 178-degree viewing angle.
