Panasonic’s high-definition PT-44LCX65 is a liquid-crystal projection television with a broad, 44-inch screen. Its native pixel resolution is a detailed 1,280 x 720, and it comes with a built-in ATSC (DTV) tuner so you’ll be set to receive free HD broadcasts right out of the box. More pixels translate into less stair-stepping artifacts, so curved and diagonal image edges look smooth and natural.

The wide-format screen uses progressive scan doubling to deliver a native resolution of 1,280X720 for a lively and sharply defined image, and the brightness and contrast are up to the task of displaying HD content. Computer content displays at the VGA, SVGA, or XGA level. With an extra-wide viewing angle of 170 degrees, the PT-44LCX65 can be watched from just about anywhere in a room.
