Left side, right side or upside-down, whatever your LCD TV’s location, you can see any display clearly due to the 178° wide-viewing angle. Horizontally and vertically, your LCD TV will always be well placed to enjoy the entertainment no matter what your angle of view is.
  • CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp)
The NTSC (National Television Systems Committee) has established the color standards all TVs in America try to meet. Typical LCD TVs only meet about 72% of this standard. Certain Samsung LCD HDTVs use Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp backlights to give you 92% coverage of the NTSC standard, ensuring truer, more breathlessly vivid colors.

The ultra-fast eight-millisecond response time means smooth, crisp fast-action video.
  • 10000:1 Dynamic Contrast
Samsung’s PVA screen enables brighter whites, deeper blacks and every shade in between. It’s higher contrast ratio provides an abundant palette of perfect colors.

With the VESA compatibility feature, Samsung has provided hole mounts on the back of the LCD TVs that are based on the VESA standards. This way you can setup your TV on the wall the way you want it to look.

Samsung seems like got this baby manufactured from the same company behind the HP-T4264, Except the Smaller size, 1080p Support, and a LCD panel instead of a plasma screen, everything else seems too identical!! This display performed well in all tests, except the only test performed in 1080p, which used the Mission: Impossible III Blu-ray disc; the results on the screen were slighly washed out tones of flesh.

The elegant LNT4061F LCD combines high style and high definition in equal measure. With true 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, it creates a brilliantly sharp, detailed picture. Samsung’s ultra-fast switching technology and 8-millisecond response time decrease blurring, so even high-speed sports remain crisp and easy on the eyes. Plus, progressive scan technology eliminates the flicker that you see on traditional, interlaced scanning TVs. And it’s all wrapped up in the gorgeous frame.

The Samsung Digital Natural Image engine (DNIe) Video Enhancer refines all analog NTSC and wideband video inputs for an overall improvement in picture quality. DNIe improves contrast, white level, picture detail and incorporates digital noise reduction to improve lower quality video inputs. The 3D Y/C digital comb filter constantly analyzes the three dimensions of picture height, picture width, and picture changes-over-time to dramatically reduce edge image artifacts while improving transition detail.

The main questions you should be asking yourself first is whether or not to buy name brand. Although the off brand TVs are usually 20-30% cheaper, there is always a reason. My rule of thumb is if you can’t afford a name brand in the size you want, hold off until you can. You will save money and headaches in the long run. The second question is what size. I have used and owned several large TVs and from my experience and today’s prices, there is no reason to buy under 40 inches. The third is projection, plasma, or LCD. They all have their good and bad points. LCD TV’s are good overall especially in bright rooms, but are more expensive. Plasma are cheaper that LCD TVs and are fast and bright, but suffer from bad reflection tendencies in bright light conditions because of the large glass pane protecting the plasma panel.
