The LC-32D7U’s widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio matches that of your favorite movies, and it’s compatible with high-definition video sources up to full 1080i resolution. The set includes 2 detachable, high-aperture aluminum speakers powered by 10 watts per channel and enhanced by BBE sound and Mach 3 Bass. There’s no external tuner needed to receive over-the-air digital and high-def TV. The remote’s not intuitive and you’ll need to flip open a door to access some needed keys. On the plus side the remote can be programmed to operate other components plus it has a backlight.
Thankfully the onscreen icons are intuitive and do cover all needed functions. The manual is comprehensive and easy to digest if you want to learn more about the Sharp’s features.
The Sharp LC 32GD4U also has side-by-side PIP with standard-definition sources, like many other LCD TVs you can’t change aspects with high-def sources.
