The Mitsubishi WD-73736’s huge 73-inch screen turns your home into a high-impact home theater. Image size approaches that of a two-piece projector system, but the WD-73736’s one-piece design and much brighter image make it a more practical choice for day-to-day viewing.The key to the WD-73736’s exceptionally accurate and vivid color is Mitsubishi’s 6-Color Processor. Instead of using only the red, green, and blue primaries to create all on-screen colors, this system analyzes the video signal and extracts the three secondary colors (cyan, yellow, magenta). Individually processing these six colors yields greater overall accuracy.

Mitsubishi’s DeepField Imager system maps the screen into 135 sectors, analyzes them in real time, and continuously adjusts brightness and contrast for optimum settings in all areas of the picture. You’ll see the improvement even in complex scenes containing both dark and bright areas.The WD-73736’s “jack pack” emphasizes high-def signals, with four 1080p-compatible HDMI inputs, including one located on the front panel to easily connect an HD video game console. This TV also features Mitsubishi’s NetCommand control system, which lets you operate almost any brand of cable or satellite TV set-top box, plus other components, using only the TV’s remote.

    Mitsubishi`s exclusive 4D Video Noise Reduction uses advanced algorithms to better identify video noise from fine detail and correct the signal rather than distort it. Video noise is caused by distortions in the video signal and makes the picture too look grainy or snowy. As signal resolutions improve with the introduction of DVD, digital cable/ satellite and HDTV, the loss of sharpness produced by most noise reduction circuits becomes more noticeable. Mitsubishi`s advanced 4D Video Noise Reduction corrects the image in four dimensions: horizontally, vertically, within each frame and across multiple frames to provide an image that is crystal clear and extraordinarily detailed.
