As opposed to the liquid crystal type display technology, Plasma Samurai create their stunningly life like pictures through a complicated gas-based system. Plasma screen idea has been around since 1964, but now this only came to own for practicality.

The audio setup of this screen is good with two down firing speakers with 10 watts each, and SRS TruSurround XT sound effect system. The core enhancement feature of this display is DNIe+ engine, an astute video processor that helps to render pristine image clarity. The ultra filter bright filter is incorporated in this television to avoid image damage due to the ambient lighting conditions. 3D digital comb filter is also blended in this plasma TV to produce adept images. Anti burn-in technology, sleep timer, power saving mode, plug and play, favourite channel list and multi-lingual on-screen display menu are also present in this display. Samsung PS 42A457 42” Plasma TV measures about 1,055mm x 667.4mm x 96.2mm, and it weighs around 26.8 kg.
