I don’t know if this is a good or bad news.

Panasonic is set to halt the production of it’s CRT tv in the next 2-3 years. The move is similar to Toshiba’s plan of closing it’s CRT factory in Malaysia. These companies spokesman have been saying that they will focus on plasma and lcd tv instead.

CRT glass makers Asahi Glass and Hankuk Electric Glass have also reduced their CRT glass monitors production due to inventory pile up.
