If you’re in for a budget flat screen tv, and is thinking of the Maxent MX-42HPM20, read our and other independent review first. Why? Here’s why :-
Okay, the price may be tempting for a plasma set but overall picture quality will make you feel like strangling yourself.
The display is fuzzy, brightness disappointing and the colors are simply off. Skins will look reddish and edges visible.
Although the screen is made by LG this unit has nothing to shout about. On the bright side, it has all the standard connections covered up. However it lacks a tuner.
Other Reviews:
- At PC World, the MX-42HPM20 disappoints the editors. They said “the quality of this HD plasma display just doesn’t measure up.
- At CNET, there has not been any reviews for the MX-42HPM20 but buyers of the set are pretty happy. One said “I have had this set for several months now and I am very happy with it. The picture quality is terrific. My only wish is the speakers were a little more powerful. I run it through the stereo most of the time anyways so it isn’t a big deal. Even so, it is still a remarkable set”
