    The Philips 32PF9964 looks big but stylish. Its silvery grey front panel with built-in flanking speakers make this a large frontage for a 32inch screen. Moreover, the thin, blade-like table mount looks suitably futuristic, but its front prongs are even wider than the set. This all adds up to a model that stands considerably wider than most TV sets of the same screen size. But it’s thin. Even with the samurai stand, the footprint is just over 30cm deep and the screen on its own is just 9cm thick

    The 32FD9954 features Philips Digital Natural Motion technology which calculates motion trajectories of moving picture elements, it then corrects jerky movement to offer a better picture. Other notable features include dual high-definition inputs and full 1080i resolution, and Philips Digital Crystal-Clear comb filter and color enhancements which are designed to offer a crisp and natural picture. Using a fanless design, the 32FD9954 produced no audible noise of its own. The 32FD9954 comes with a one year parts and labor warranty. With plasma technology still being expensive, it might not be a bad idea to same up for an extended warranty; something in this price range should be protected for as long as possible.
