We have all been waiting for the price of those HDTV to go down to a magical under $1000 mark. Well, it has not gone to that level yet, but Circuit City and Polaroid has something close to that price level.

Circuit City is offering Polaroid’s PLA-4248, at $1299.99. The set is a 42-inch Plasma TV with a built-in high-def tuner and 8000:1 contrast ratio. As expected from a plasma tv, this unit has a HDMI port and TV stand and can display high-def signals via cable, satellite, or an off-air antenna.

If you can wait for another few months, we believe there’ll be more bargain coming in. Be patient.
