If you are looking for an advanced, widescreen HD-Upgradeable television with a stunning picture, all of the latest features, and an affordable price, the Silver Series is for you. Each model’s attractive cabinet is compatible with a wide assortment of custom furnishings, allowing a built-in look. New this year Mitsubishi offers improvements in optics, video signal processing, color adjustments, and an additional format mode to fit standard-shaped video images onto a wide screen. The result is a series of TVs that not only produce more natural, lifelike pictures, but are easier to use by themselves or in home theater systems.

The WS-55315 up-converts 480i signals to 480p, and high-definition signals are displayed at 1,080i. A motion-adaptive 3-D Y/C digital comb filter eliminates rainbow effects and dot crawl, ensuring the best possible picture even from analog sources. There is a choice of six picture formats when viewing analog content, while digital content can be viewed in either of two formats. Movies are automatically adapted to the video screen with 3:2 pulldown conversion, which smoothes out fast action sequences.
