The Titanium HD WiFi is a silver plastic unit that’s smaller than most cable TV boxes. The front panel is clean save for a status indicator. The back panel features composite, S-Video, and component inputs—but no HDMI port—along with an Ethernet port and two USB connectors, one of which is for the included Wi-Fi dongle. The box also contains a small dock for repositioning the dongle and the requisite IR emitter for controlling your cable box or DVR.
The Titanium HD WiFi offers no Mac compatibility; it’s purely a device for Windows XP and Windows Vista users. Still, it’s an advance over the company’s older Wireless HD product, which didn’t work with secure WPA networks or even support HD content, despite its name. This new version lets you watch your TV from multiple PCs simultaneously. You and a friend can’t watch different shows from the same DVR, but you can broadcast the signal to several computers at once.
