JVC joins the Blu-Ray band wagon with the NX-BD3 which is its very first Blu ray supporting entertainment device. The device will feature Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) compatibility via a wireless adapter update, through DLNA technology the device will be able to work with cell phones and other media players which support DLNA technology.
NX-BD3’s internal amplifier is rated at 4×55W, the subwoofer delivers a further 200W of bass and it supports Dolby Digital, DTS and Dolby Pro-Logic II sound formats. Since JVC has ventured into Blu-Ray for the first time with the NX-BD3, it did not bother going for the latest in the technology and will not support Profile 2.0, nor DTS-HD MA and neither Dolby TrueHD.
The device will cost you $1,460 when it launches in the UK.
